Este tema se plantea como una tesis teórica porque aborda la problemática de la feminidad desde la antropología de Karol Wojtyla. En sus escritos acerca de la moral sexual y de la persona, este autor, entrega bases que permiten elaborar respuestas a la temática actual del ser mujer y su rol en la sociedad. La perspectiva teórica de esta investigación es estudiar el trasfondo del personalismo ético en el pensamiento de este autor para analizar el valor de la feminidad. Respecto (...) a la declaración de la hipótesis, se postula que Wojtyla presenta una nueva antropología que nos permite plantear claramente el significado de lo femenino; aquello se refleja en sus obras dramáticas y poéticas. Abstract:During recent years, the principle and practice of employment-at-will have been under attack. While progress has been made in eroding the practice, the principle still governs the philosophical assumptions underlying employment practices in the United States, and, indeed, EAW has been promulgated as one of the ways to address economic ills in other countries. This paper will briefly review the major critiques of EAW. Given the failure of these arguments to erode the underpinnings of EAW, we shall suggest new avenues (...) for approaching employment issues to achieve the desirable goal of employee dignity and respect. This article presents a response to Richard Rorty's paper "Is Philosophy Relevant to Business Ethics?" The author questions Rorty's views on the depreciation of the role of philosophy in applied ethics, and outlines four reasons why philosophy retains its relevance. The author addresses the role of moral reasoning in the development of the moral imagination. In der Psychoanalyse unterliege die Sicht auf weibliche ­Sexualität, so die Autorin, immer noch Relikten einer »phallischen Logik«, die ihr ein binäres und defizitäres Muster von Kastration und Mangel aufzwinge. Dies zeige sich u. a. darin, dass die Vagina als Pendant zum Penis gilt. Anatomisch ist dies allerdings nicht korrekt, denn die Klitoris bildet das zentrale weibliche Sexualorgan. Von hier aus lasse sich eine eigenständige, unabhängige weibliche Sexualität jenseits von Heteronormativität und Reproduktion konzipieren. Nachdem der von Freud behauptete Objektwechsel in (...) der sexuellen Entwicklung des Mädchens zu Recht kritisiert wurde, stehe damit auch der Wechsel der sexuellen Leitzone in Frage. Dieser Perspektivenwechsel wirft neues Licht auf die genitale Sexualität und die Triebtheorie. Die Autorin schlägt den Begriff der »Zirklusion« als Triebmodalität vor, der die phalluszentrierte Penetration ergänzt. (shrink)

This article explores melodrama's capacity to evoke strong emotional responses with a focus on the ending of King Vidor's Stella Dallas. It suggests a consideration of the phenomenological concept of instrument-mediation as coined by Vivian Sobchack as a filmic structure that fosters melodrama's emotional appeal and the spectator's engagement with it. It suggests a self-reflexive element in highly emotional film scenes that inscribes the spectator's subject position into the film, thus enabling the film to impact the spectator's body. This reflection (...) of a spectator's perspective enables and fosters the communication of emotionality. Athenian citizens deliberate in the assembly, but the theatre also becomes a place for public debate. In addition to being a consequence of economic or cultural aspects, democracy is a consequence of the development of a democratic imaginary. Located in that imaginary, Greek tragedies, regarded as «democratic myths», work to reaffirm Athenian democracy. Far from being dogmatic, the tragic myth explores the contradictions of social and personal life and implicitly or explicitly seeks their correction. This dramatic genre encourages participation from (...) the spectator (citizen) that greatly exceeds the schematic reduction in Aristotelian theory of catharsis. Greek tragedy proposes the existence of an «audience», of spectators who need a sufficient level of maturity to make that assessment. Democracy is a path, or perhaps an active utopia, which should combine the political order with a coherent culture and art.Los ciudadanos atenienses deliberaban en la asamblea, pero también el teatro se convierte en un lugar de debate público. Porque una democracia (también la ateniense) no solo es consecuencia de aspectos económicos o de orden cultural, sino también del desarrollo de un imaginario democrático. Y es en dicho imaginario donde se inscriben las tragedias griegas, consideradas como «mitos democráticos» que servían para reafirmar la democracia ateniense. Lejos de cualquier dogmatismo, el mito trágico explora las contradicciones de la vida social y personal, y se pregunta, de manera expresa o tácita, por su posible corrección. Este género dramático induce a una participación del espectador (ciudadano), que va más allá de la esquemática reducción de la teoría aristotélica de la catarsis. El teatro griego propone la existencia de un «público», de unos espectadores que precisan de una gran madurez para emitir ese juicio. Despite its many virtues it has at least one major difficulty: it implies a sharp separation between experience and language. This essay aims to bridge this gap, while preserving the positive aspects of Ankersmit’s theory. To do this, I will first present the ontological and epistemological implications of Ankersmit’s notion of historical experience. Next, I will present my (...) objections to his idea. Finally, I will propose two modifications to his notion of historical experience: first, in the epistemological sense by considering historical experience as a form of Louis Mink’s configurational comprehension and, second, in the ontological sense by relating historical experience with the _vitalist_ ontology of José Ortega y Gasset. The ideal of emancipation has been traditionally grounded on the premise that human activity is not restrained by external boundaries. Thus the realisation of values such as autonomy or recognition has been facilitated by economic growth and material expansion. Yet there is mounting evidence that the human impact on natural systems at the planetary level, a novelty captured by the concept of the Anthropocene, endangers the Earth’s habitability. If human development is to be limited for the sake of global sustainability, (...) can emancipation be kept as a mobilising ideal? As opposed to alternative views such as that of degrowth, this article argues that it can. The key lies in the ability of the Anthropocene to produce planetary subjectivities. By recognising the bounded quality of human embeddedness, the possibility of a different emancipation is opened up. The latter does not give up material well-being, yet it makes sure that the latter does not endanger planetary habitability. (shrink)

After the viral outbreak that hit populations across the planet in the first half of 2020, it has been argued that the coronavirus pandemic can be described as a quintessential phenomenon of the Anthropocene, i.e. the result of a particular stage of socionatural relations in which wild habitats are invaded and anthropogenic climate change creates the conditions for the emergence of more frequent viral pathogens. Likewise, it has also been argued that the pandemic is an event that shares structural features (...) with climate change itself and, consequently, offers some lessons about how best to fight the latter. I will consider these arguments, offering an alternative view of the relationship between the pandemic and the Anthropocene. I will argue that although the pandemic should not be primarily seen as an event of the Anthropocene, it can end up reinforcing the Anthropocene frame for several reasons. (shrink)

Se demuestra que su “Caracteristica Numerica” que asigna pares de números a las proposiciones categóricas es una semántiea para la cual la silogística aristotélica es correcta y completa, y que el sistema algebraico presentado en Fundamentos de un Cálculo Lógico es una lógica (...) algebraica similar a la de Boole.This work is a contribution to a new view of Leibniz’s logic, pretending to show that his writings were not only rich in projects (Characteristica, Combinatoria, Mathesis), but also in concrete logico-mathematical developments. We prove that his “Numerical Characteristic” assigning pairs of numbers to terms of categorical propositions, is a complete and correct semantics for aristotelian syllogistic, and the algebraic system presented in Fundamentals of Logical Calculus is essentially a complete version of boolean algebraic logic. Zur Bestimmung des kontroversen Raumes in öffentlichen Bildungsarrangements schlägt Johannes Drerup in Auseinandersetzung mit einem verhaltensbezogenen, politischen und epistemischen Kriterium eine Kombination aus einem politischen und einem wissenschaftsbezogenen Kriterium vor. Kontrovers und im Ausgang offen sollen nur solche Kontroversen unterrichtet werden, in denen sich die widerstreitenden Positionen sowohl an den konstitutiven politischen Grundwerten und Demokratieprinzipien liberaler Demokratien als auch am Maßstab wissenschaftlicher Begründbarkeit ausrichten. An diesen Vorschlag werden zwei Anfragen gestellt. Die erste Anfrage richtet sich auf die Theoriearchitektur und problematisiert (...) die maßgeblich aus einer (deliberativen) demokratietheoretischen Position erfolgende Ableitung von Kriterien für ein pädagogisches Handlungsfeld. Pädagogische Kriterien wie Lernen, Aneignung, Bildung scheinen kaum eine Rolle zu spielen. Es geht hier zunächst um die Frage, welche Relationierungen von demokratietheoretischen Überlegungen einerseits und pädagogischen Bezügen andererseits die Handlungsvorschläge zur Behandlung von Kontroversen in Schule und Unterricht strukturieren können. Die zweite Anfrage betont die Unsicherheit der Wirkungsannahmen. Wenn nicht klar ist, ob eine relativ offene Gestaltung der Kontroverse oder eine relativ rigide Grenzziehung Wirkung in Richtung der Entwicklung einer demokratischen Argumentation wahrscheinlicher werden lässt oder wenn diese Wirkung stark vom jeweiligen Kontext abhängt, scheint eine grundsätzliche Präferenz für das politische und wissenschaftsbezogene Kriterium fragwürdig zu werden. Resumen: El artículo busca observar el hecho religioso mapuche, a partir de la reflexión de Rudolf Otto respecto de lo numinoso y lo santo. Para ello se utiliza su metodología de análisis fenomenológico aplicada a los conceptos de mysterium, tremendum y fascinans o las dimensiones del temor, incorporadas en la cultura mapuche. Se concluye que el análisis de estos diversos momentos de la experiencia santo-numinoso en la vida religiosa del mapuche, permite constatar el dinamismo existente en la idea religiosa del (...) mapuche, lo que a su vez representa adecuadamente la relación entre el hombre religioso y lo santo.: This article seeks to observe the Mapuche religious fact, starting from Rudolf Otto’s reflection on the numinous and the holy. For this, it uses its methodology of phenomenological analysis applied to the concepts of mysterium, tremendum and fascinans or the dimensions of fear, incorporated in the Mapuche culture. It is concluded that the analysis of these different moments of the saint-numinous experience in the religious life of the mapuche, allows to verify the dynamism existing in the religious idea of ​​the mapuche, which in turn represents adequately the relationship between religious man and the Holy.
